Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Bulonka Studio ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with our mobile applications and related services (collectively, the "Apps"). This policy applies to all Apps published by Bulonka Studio on Google Play, including but not limited to: homelab-mobile, meds-tracker, smarthome-dash, vehicle-tracker, api-tester-mobile, home-inventory, and doc-scanner.
1. Who we are
Bulonka Studio is the developer and data controller for the Apps. You can contact us at: contact@bulonka-studio.com.
2. Data we collect and why
Our Apps are designed to be offline-first. We do not require an account, and we do not transmit your personal content to our servers. Specifically:
- Personal identifiers (name, email, phone): Not collected by Bulonka Studio. If an App offers an optional sign-in, that section of the App's in-product documentation will describe what is collected and why.
- App content you create (notes, inventory items, medication entries, vehicle records, scanned documents, API requests, dashboard configuration, etc.): Stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to Bulonka Studio.
- Photos, files, and camera input: Used only on-device for the feature you triggered (for example, document scanning or attaching a photo to an inventory item). We do not transmit this content to our servers.
- Location: Only accessed if you use a feature that explicitly requires it (for example, fueling location for vehicle records). Stored locally on your device.
- Device and diagnostic information (crash logs, performance data): If you opt in to share crash diagnostics, anonymous crash reports may be sent to our crash reporting provider to help us fix bugs. These reports do not include the personal content you store in the App.
- Purchase information: When you buy an App or in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Google Play. We receive only the information Google Play provides to developers (such as an order identifier and country), not your payment details.
3. Permissions we may request
Android may prompt you to grant the following permissions, depending on the App and the feature you use. You can deny or revoke any of these from your device settings; some features may then be unavailable.
- Camera — to scan documents or capture photos for items you create.
- Photos / media / files — to attach images you choose, or export your data.
- Location — for features that record where an event occurred.
- Notifications — for reminders you configure (for example, medication times).
- Network access — to talk to local devices on your home network (for example, Home Assistant), or to endpoints you explicitly enter (for example, your own API endpoints).
4. How we share data
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with advertisers. Limited sharing may occur only with the following categories of recipients, and only to operate the Apps:
- Google Play / Google LLC — for app distribution, in-app billing, and (if enabled) crash diagnostics. See Google's privacy policy.
- Crash reporting provider — only if you opt in to share crash diagnostics.
- Endpoints you choose — if you configure an App to talk to a service you own (for example, your own Home Assistant instance or your own API), the App will send requests to that endpoint as you instructed it. Bulonka Studio is not a recipient.
- Legal authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
5. Data security
Data you create in the Apps is stored on your device. When the Apps need to communicate over the network (for example, to download updates or to call an endpoint you configured), requests are sent over HTTPS where the destination supports it. We follow industry-standard practices to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Data retention
Because your content lives on your device, you control retention. Uninstalling an App, or using its in-app "delete all data" or "reset" option, removes the data from your device. Anonymous crash diagnostics, if you opted in, are retained for up to 90 days by our crash reporting provider.
7. Your rights and how to delete your data
You can:
- Delete data on-device at any time using the App's reset/clear option, or by uninstalling the App.
- Request deletion of any data Bulonka Studio holds about you by emailing contact@bulonka-studio.com from the address you used to contact us. We will respond within 30 days.
- Access or correct any information we hold about you, where applicable under your local law (including GDPR and CCPA), by contacting us at the address above.
8. Children
The Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
Bulonka Studio operates from Ukraine. If you use the Apps from outside Ukraine, you understand that any limited data we receive (such as crash diagnostics or purchase metadata from Google Play) may be processed in countries with different data protection laws.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or release notes.
